It gets worse because December 2023 has been sanitized as the poster went back and flushed most of her comments. It's laughable but i would expect nothing less. Here's an article i wrote shortly after she showed up on TOSC. She was angry as i had kicked her off a couple of sites i was an administrator on. She refused to follow the guidelines for membership and so she joined TOSC and starting crapping all over the site. I've dealt with people like this most of my life and i always am open and direct. There's no point in mincing words. Without further ado, here's the article: My Apologies To TOSC Members: I have no control over it, yet i feel at least in a small way, part of the reason behind it. The mess the troll is making of the site is quite fascinating. My initial reaction was it was a spammer or hacker, but the sky has cleared and the obvious shines through. I seldom talk about or mention politics here. Some of my dear friends and posters are quite different in their beliefs from mine. Not a problem, we simply disagree. That said, we've all watched one sad truth explode before our vary eyes the past 8 years. Grievance politics works; hatred politics works; poor-me politics is also attractive to some. Not me. I learned long ago i am responsible for my own actions. Looking for others to blame is a weakness and for those who buy into it, they too are weak (in my humble opinion). Hence my apologies. the attacks on this site (TOSC) are simply an effort to destroy a site many of us like to share opinions and ideas. This past week, has turned out several attempts directed at me. Someone was dumb enough to send an email to the museum claiming the Facebook page i help with as an administrator was stealing their photos and profiting from them. Then they encouraged another to do the same. By the way, they used a fake name, much like on this site. Of course, nothing could be further from the truth and the comments sent were quickly and loudly refuted. Not that it mattered to the sender. She was obviously pleased she could disrupt the lives of others. For me, i could care less. My role, my goal has always been to keep Sun City a great place to live. Not everyone feels that way. I've always understood that and have over the past 20 years watched people move from here because they didn't care for it. What i have not watched before was anyone vindictive, childish and so immature they act as if they were 5 years old. Tantrums are simply unbecoming on people our age. Again, my apologies to those of you who read these pages on a regular basis. We known in time it will work out; one way or another. Sun City=Community before corporation, people before politics.

One of the beauties of this site is you can go back and erase/delete comments, unless of course someone has hit reply and then they are printed out. Shortly after the "troll" showed up on TOSC (Dec, 2023), the verbal assaults got really ugly really quick. I tried pushing them off the front page with old articles. I started posting articles i had written years before. I came across this one, Bah Humbug and low and behold there were the happy hippy's comments jumping off the page. One quick reminder for the few left on this site: We came to TOSC because we loved Sun City, loved the choice we made in making it our home. The election will be over in a few months and irrespective who wins our lives will go on. The beauty of our community is found in the clubs, the amenities and the sense of ownership that comes with living here. There are those that hate it along with everything else. That's what they will own. Celebrate you aren't one of them and be grateful you found your place in the sun. It's that damned good here, no matter who is elected.
