Thanks for all the info on the electric bills. Now I know what to expect.

I didn't know that requests made in this forum were answered so quickly! The rain last night was so welcome and helped to drop the temps to the 70s overnight. What a beautiful, clean and fresh smelling morning.

My neighbor called and told me it was raining. Didn't see any lightning or hear thunder.
    Change of subject:
At 5 this morning there was a light in the south eastern sky. At first I thought it was an airplane, but it didn't move. I will google it but does anyone know if it was a planet or a star?

I got the answer to my question.

    Monday & Tuesday, September 14 & 15
Although Venus passed between the Sun and Earth just one month ago, its rapid orbital motion has brought it back to prominence. This morning, the planet rises more than 2.5 hours before the Sun and climbs 20° high in the east an hour before sunrise. Shining at magnitude –4.8, the inner world gleams spectacularly. Harder to see is magnitude 1.8 Mars, which stands 10° to Venus’ lower left. When viewed through a telescope, Venus displays a 42"-diameter disk that is just 22 percent lit.
