A while back someone asked exactly what a Posse member could do. Yesterday I asked the Commander. He gave an excellent answer. "A Posse member can only do as much as an ordinary citizen". I hope that answers the question.
While it is true that a Sun City Posse member can now only do as much as an "ordinary citizen", they can probably do more now than they could while affiliated with MCSO. They are no longer circumscribed by all the regulations and stipulations put in place as a result of the racial profiling lawsuit which were applied to posse members as well as sworn deputies.
