And then quit before your term is up!

I have twice offered to share my knowledge on parliamentary procedure and Robert's Rules of Order to the RCSC when they were seeking members for their committees only to be ignored each time.

You call it complaining....I call it criticism!

Seeing as you are a numbers guy Dave, help me out here: How many RCSC board members do you think there have been since the first board was elected for Community Center the end of 1961? The first couple of years they could fill a one year term, then it went to 2 years and finally 3 years. Our last Article of Incorporation change circa 2005 allowed for 2 three year terms.

Best case scenario if we multiplied 3 new members x 65 years brings us in just under 200 total board members. Allowing for those who quit or died during their term would alter those numbers a little, but i would argue we are still in that 200 neighborhood. During that same 65 year period of our existence, there has been well over 100,000 residents move into our community.

Based on your remark to Tom, are you suggesting those 200 board members the only ones that mattered? If so, pretty shortsighted and that’s being overly generous. The reality is there’s been tens of thousands of members living here who have been instrumental in helping shape the RCSC. Committees, club officers and volunteers well beyond that handful of board members.

Then for shits and giggles, take the dozen plus organizations that have existed for some or all of those years and you have tens of thousands more member/resident volunteers who did their part. Staggering the numbers and dismissing them with the wave of your hand because they weren’t a RCSC board member is insulting.

Tom has stepped up more than many, so please don’t insult those who have given back but don’t fit your narrow perspective of having “cojones” to serve.

That’s what certified parliamentarians are for and also being an attorney is a plus. Sorry you didn’t make it.

Maybe you will just get to use that Liberal Arts Degree soon. I doubt the board would appreciate you calling a resident a skank. And for the record I have never met you, don't know enough about you to be able to lie about you.

I have gotten terrific mileage out of my B.A. as my course work other than history, has covered many subject areas that you would look at and say huh, why did he take that course? They have served me well throughout life, but you wouldn’t know that. It called Liberal Arts for a reason.
As for your juvenile threat to the Board regarding my use of a word, ask yourself this question, would they be offended or would they agree or would they agree to both?
