Below are 2 recipes for Margarita Cake.

The 1st recipe does not specify if mix has alcohol.
I would replace water with tequila and add some red food coloring.

    1.Margarita Cake Easy
    Follow cake mix instructions
but replace water called for with Margarita mix.
Bake according to cake mix package directions.
Cool on rack for 10 minutes; remove from pans and continue to cool.
Frost when cake is completely cool.

    2. Margarita Poke Cake Easy
Bake white cake according to directions on the box.
    Set aside to cool.
After the cake is completely cooled,
poke holes into cake with the handle of mixing spoon.

Boil 1 cup of water and add to the jello of your choice.
After stirring and the jello has dissolved add 1/2 cup of tequila.
Then spoon the jello over the holes in the cake.
Place cake into the refrigerator to cool for about 30 min.
    . Remove cake from refrigerato
and add whip cream to the top of the cake.

Personally, I will add 1 cup tequila!

You can Google for more recipes. But I found these to be the easiest & best. Especially the Poke Cake.

For Margarita Poke Cake, I would use red jello.

First...I drink the tequila then attempt to bake a cake. Seriously, the cakes sound interesting and good for summer deserts.
