What compromises did the Pickleball Club and players agree to or suggest?

 

I think the Pickleballer's settled to get what they got which will be some additional courts but not necessarily the number or enclosed venue they had hoped for, and I did finally hear the Players admit that a PAC would have to be shared and used for more than just plays. They also seemed to compromise on the number of seats that at one time was requested to be 600.

I never heard Norm offer to eliminate the Lawn Bowling green he just kept pushing that there were 3,700 bowlers in 2021 and 21,000 bowlers used the greens in 2022. He didn't tell you that there are actually only 358 members and most belong to all 5 Clubs, so when they talk about 1,367 Club members they don't tell you about the duplication.

From watching the Town Hall meetings, it seemed to me that Steve Oaks is still promoting an indoor facility for 8 courts plus a number of outdoor courts. Perhaps that has changed.

Yes, I understand the Players make quite a few concessions. Same with the water volleyball club.Too bad the Lawn Bowlers haven't.

I think an indoor court is a pipedream not only because of the expense but that's just my opinion. Then I think there's still that darn parking issue?

I don't know Steve Oaks personally, but I was kinda set back a little when very late in the game he, along with a couple of others came up with an entirely new option. You don't just go rogue like that when you're part of a committee. Just my opinion!
