The obvious answer that pops into my mind would be a fascist coup by Trump and company -- some would say it's already started. CV-19 and race riots are giving him cover right now by distracting the bulk of the nation while he continues to divide the Country and quietly undo democracy's safeguards.

One theory regarding this is that the police would go with him, the armed services would not. But do you think it is time for me to get a gun?

Here’s where we part company gang: I think trump is tired of being president. He never wanted the job in the first place. It was a promotional stunt to suck more folks into the world of all things trump. Once he won, he had little choice but to take take the job and run with it.

He is so far out out of his element it’s painful to watch. The past three and a half years have been nothing but pandering to that 35% of die-hards. It’s killed him not being able to monetize the presidency they way he had hoped to. Coved19 will force states to enhance mail in balloting. The higher the vote, the more chance for him to lose. When that happens, he can yet again play martyr.

He’ll be wailing “poor me, i was screwed,” as he creates his own news network where his huge twitter crowd can buy his programming. All of which will mean he can still hold that massive club over the Republican Party. The one bright spot might be if the dems sweep the election and win the senate, the house and the elect Biden, they may well go after him criminally.

History will not be kind to trump and his antics. Frankly, it shouldn’t be. Never has a man so unqualified ever served in the White House.

I am not a scholar on the US Constitution, but I do believe that the Constitution does not allow a sitting President and Vice President to hold office pat January 20,past their 4 terms.
I do believe however, that Trump will try to circumvent the Constitution. I also believe that Trump and cohorts are continually eroding the Constitution. Trump is trying to be Vladimer putin of the western world. Make no mistake about it, or Democracy and Constitution are are being eroded dailyu.

  7. SCR, once a new President and Vice President are sworn in, if former President cholesterol butt refuses to leave the White House, he is considered a private citizen and would be trespassing on secure Federal property, can and will be escorted off the property, hopefully with extreme prejudice by the Secret Service. The First Family’s personal property is packed up the day before and put in storage. He will no longer have access to the nuclear codes and the military will no longer follow his orders.

The new President can after taking the oath can fire the entire cabinet and any one else he chooses while installing his own people by sundown. What a country!

Since the founding of the Republic we have always had a peaceful transition of power and there is no way that this gluteus clown is going to change that.

    Hope this helps.

  8. BP, the Dems could go after him, but the US Attorney, Southern District of New York has a serious investigations going on tRump for tax evasion, conspiracy to commit insurance fraud, and several other antics like bank fraud, which also include his sons Uday and Usay. Lock him up indeed. There is also State of New York investigations happening on income tax and property tax fraud with insurance fraud mixed in for good measure. He has problems with hair on them.

Somewhere James Buchanan and Warren G Harding are breathing a sigh of relief as presidential historians will make him the ultimate bottom feeder. Looks like tRump’s presidential library will consist of cell phones and thumb drives of videos in a kiosk in the basement of Penn Station.

I don't disagree with any of this, Bill. I just suspect there's a lot more to it. Having watched Trump for 50 years, give or take, he doesn't do martyr well, except to draw attention. He wants constant attention, wants to tell people what to do, how great he is. He's a wannabe dictator, and he's a master of diversion... getting his enemies to take their eyes off the ball. Honestly, he's not smart enough to have engineered the amount of damage he's done to the country, so the question remains who's lead is he following? Who's the man behind the man?

I suspect much of the blame can be put on his idiot son-in-law Jared and the other low life, speech-writer Steven Miller. I think that pretty much sums up his brain trust IC...and don't forget how much he trusts his big mac laden gut. Pathetic.

No problem with the cheap shot aggie, i could have looked it up but figured you had the answer on ice. By the way, for all of those trudging off to see trump when he comes to Arizona, be sure to log on to his website to preregister for tickets and waive your rights should you contract covid19 while in attendance. Read all about it here.

In his 2008 book, "The Wrecking Crew: How Conservatives Rule" Thomas Frank presents a blueprint describing exactly what trump and crew have done. And it is not him doing it. This stuff was laid out while he was still a Democrat. Put an anti-environment guy as head of the EPA, put an anti-labor guy as head of the Dept of Labor, put in Carson and DeVos, etc. This is not trump's doing. But Thomas says, that what you get when you are ruled by people who think government is bad, is bad government. Sure enough.

If you are still undecided who you'll cast your vote for in Nov., consider this before you decide...
