Dr. Hiral Tipirneni for Congress

IMO, Lesko used to represent us (her constituents) as our state representative. She never impressed me as particularly smart or having a lot of original ideas, she is a follower. And that was okay -- it worked to our benefit because she focused on trying to implement our ideas -- following what we, her constituents, wanted. But for the past several election cycles she has increasingly distanced herself from what we wanted and transitioned to following the lead of people outside our district -- ie, State and National political operatives and lobbyists.

I want a representative who is a Musketeer -- an All for One and One for All type. Someone who will champion what our district COLLECTIVELY wants/needs, not what some parochial interest or lobbyist/political action power broker wants. Someone who will work to create and represent a compromise of the interests of ALL the people in the district, not just those of their party. Someone who will stand up for SS, Medicare, VA benefits and not be bilked by the fool's gold notion that privatization and benefit cuts will solve funding issues without creating even more serious problems. Someone smart enough to understand that inflation over the past 50 years raised costs by nearly 600% while median salary and tax revenues didn't -- and support fixing that inequity. Someone that accepts that we are not all of the same beliefs regarding choice, religion, privacy, security, etc and is willing/able to work for tolerance and respect of those differences rather than pushing partisan solutions where one side wins and all other sides lose. And lastly, someone who understands that the mission of the House of Representatives is to pass laws which represent the will of the people (ie, not necessarily the will of a particular political party or the Administration.) Frankly, I don't believe Lesko is of that someone -- she's already demonstrated she's sold her soul to partisan devildom.
