Groundwater seeping thru escabrosa Ridge formed many caves including http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colossal_Cave_(Arizona) Colossal Cave which is probably the largest dry cavern in the world. http://www.caves.org/grotto/cag2/pcleanup.html Peppersauce Cave has about a mile of mapped passages. Onyx Cave is a National Natural Landmark.
My thoughts exactly Ken.... Doesn't look like the caves are close to Sun City. I would love to go to one when I get out there... Does anyone know if there are Sun City organized bus trips to these or anything like that?
No. The caves are not close to Sun City, but well within a day trip. Yes. Sun City does offer a trip to a cave. I think it is Katchner Caverns. I will try to post info about some of the bus trips.
