Are we rounding the corner or is it an oval track??

People no matter who they are who refuse to wear masks need to be called out in public what they really are and that's TRUMP SCUM. No respect for others period. It's all about them until they get sick then the excuse is that I didn't know it was this bad. You don't like the truth too bad. I tell it like it is like it or not. Too many people dying because of ignorant people.

What I find somewhat distressing is that it is such a self-imposed ignorance, something that I've seen many of these same folks use in other matters too. The facts or reality is out in the open for all to see, so people just chose not to see it.

So, 383 Arizona deaths reported in the past 3 days. The really disturbing fact is that these are deaths from 1-2 weeks ago. We still haven't gotten the surge from Christmas/New Years. I don't know how much more we can hunker down and isolate but we can't afford to expose ourselves to those that still think COVID isn't a horrid, debilitating and many times fatal disease for seniors.

It is not surprising that our government allowed the Fiesta Bowl to take place in Glendale where Iowa State totally ignored mask guidelines at the game. We continue to let the 49rs use our stadium for their games. We can't expect any help from any of our legislators at this point.

BUT, maybe things will start to change with a new crowd in the US Legislature who seem to care about the health & welfare of its people. One can only hope for a positive change.

Oh, storm clouds are rolling in and I so want it to rain on the parade of the Save America March. Freezing rain would even be better. Maybe that will prevent violence when all the speakers keep trying to agitate the crowd.

This bunch is now tied in with the Silent Majority and it is amusing to find trump and his syncophants tied in with anything called "silent."

I've been looking at pictures of the "Save America" trump rally in Washington and looking to see how many folks are wearing masks and it is not a lot. It will be interesting to see two weeks from now what the fallout, if any, from all this is.

We were able to get an appointment next week for the 1st vaccination at the Del Webb Hospital drive-thru site. They are now shooting up those 75+ and the appointment slots fill up fast. With over 10,000 deaths in AZ and a horrifying 353 deaths reported just today it's none too soon for our seniors to get some protection.

Do your part: wear a mask, avoid crowds, don't feel comfortable with anyone outside your household and get vaccinated when you are eligible. Thank you.

A chart I just found showing deaths from covid in Arizona.
And just wait until lesko and her hoard get back from Washington DC. Imagine what they are bringing with them.
Of course if it all is just a hoax we have nothing to worry about. What are you willing to bet your life on?

Just to clarify that I am not in Group 1b but my husband is eligible. We got an email notice from Banner Health about 1b Group now being able to schedule appointments. I'm not sure if you can make an appointment through them unless you have their Medicare Advantage Insurance. We registered and booked the appointment online.

Anyone can go to the AZDHS.gov website to get the latest information on COVID stats, testing sites and vaccination information including the steps to register for vaccinations. No walk ins but you can register by phone.

Yay! Starting next week those 65+ can begin signing up to get vaccinated. Check out the Arizona Department of Health Services website(AZDHS.gov) for details.

wife and I were vaccinated at Football Stadium this week. We made appointments online shortly after https://podvaccine.azdhs.gov/ added it to the available locations on Monday morning. Vaccination there is drive through, took about 1-hour or so to check credentials, get shot, and wait 15-minutes afterward in case we had any bad reactions. There were probably 200 cars in line when we were there.

I wonder how many "bad reactions" there are?

From what I've heard and from some that I know who got the vaccination, the reaction to this shot is similar to the flu or pneumonia vaccination. There is more of a reaction to the 2nd dose but still far better than what COVID can do to a person.

I was at the Dog Park this morning where a masked woman scolded me for not wearing a mask, informed me that Sun City was doing poorly and that her pastor was expected to die very soon. I wanted to tell her that at the Park I practice social distancing and would she please back off . . ....... but didn't. Anyway, it is here and is likely to be here for a while.

I realize everyone has different views and ideas about wearing a mask. However, I believe the CDC recommends wearing a mask indoors and Outdoors. I for one am not willing to gamble that if I go maskless I will not get Covid. Better safe than sorry. I have little or no sympathy for a one who does not follow the CDC guidelines. I work r days a week and wear my mask at all times even though it fogs my glasses. You are perfectly free to abstain from wearing a mask out doors, but the wi d can carry the Covid droplets many feet. Social distancing is only 1 of the CDC guidelines. How hard is it to wear a mask, social distance, and wash your hands to keep yourself Covid free. The vaccine may help, but there are still too many unknowns regarding immunity and antibodies. Stay safe out there

We didn't see anyone scurrying to assist anyone while we were there -- we could see the field of 50-60 cars ahead of us in the 15-min wait area. They did have two ambulances parked in the area, I guess just in case? It's been a couple days and neither my wife nor I have any side effects to our (first) shot.
