I'm taking a house hunting hiatus - the realtor says relax and wait for September - so, what else is going on down there?

2 or 3 months to go until those who leave for the summer come back, right? I know some clubs and maybe some businesses change things up in the summer, what about you guys? Does your routine change in the summer?

It is funny to me to see the "leaving for summer" statements.
I dread the coming of winter. Our "summer" here in Colorado has been so wet it seems we have not had much of a summer.
If winter has as much precipitation as summer it is going to be brutal here.
So this winter when you all are enjoying your awesome weather think warm thoughts for us that are in the high country and other places that are COLD.
I'm envious of you guys that have been able to make the move, we will be there in a few years, just not soon enough in my book. ;)

We used to take a winter vacation to escape the cold of Minnesota every year and the funny thing was kind of gloating over the great weather we would go to as folks back home were freezing their butts off. Once we moved to Sun City, I paid no attention to the weather back home nor did I gloat about it. We were just grateful we had found a better place to live. Perhaps thinking warm thoughts for all of the poor souls trapped in a deep freeze anywhere would be the neighborly thing to do.

As far as summer here V, things slow down to a snails pace. I should probably kill my signature during these 100+ degree days, because it becomes exactly how we live. And when you think about it, isn't that pretty darn awesome?

I can't wait to experience the awesomeness.

BruceW - Repel that rain back up to the NorthWest. The weather here has been +10 to +20 degrees hotter and no rain. People are cranky.

And SoCal had the most rain this July on record. One day of hard rain gave us a record because we usually have zero.
