I've been told, i write too much; a lot in fact. I've never argued the fact, my counter has always been you can't tell the story if you don't tell the story. My zealous nature to write was in full bloom yesterday when i started pounding out the Sun City Advocates new blog post. Thank goodness proof reader and poster extraordinaire CM was on the ball. I rambled on endlessly and she knew by the time readers got to the substance i may have put them to sleep or chased them off. She cut it down to a more readable size and stayed on point. The goal is/was to give Sun City Advocate members a heads up about the reasons they should attend the next board meeting. It is scheduled for Monday Oct 9 and will be held at the Sundial auditorium. The start time is 6 pm. I would suggest you get there early, i expect one of the larger crowds in a good long while. I won't recant why here, you can read that on the link at the bottom. To get you just a little excited, here's the first two paragraphs that were deleted: Let's get straight to it: We are at crunch time. Heading into the last three months of 2023, it is incumbent on the board to get their act together and start showing the community they know what they are doing. There's little room for margin or error. Rather than belabor how fractured they have appeared, let's try and look at each of the agenda items that needs closure. I freely admit, I've been a cheerleader for the past 6 months as i have tried to remain optimistic. The new RCSC board of 9 came in with their hands full and somewhat disjointed. If you have attended or watched any of the meetings, it's been abundantly apparent they were not always prepared and worse yet, often on different pages of the script. Differences are healthy. Disjointed and out of sorts isn't. With those admonishments out of the way, here's is the link to the Advocates blog and many of the reasons you should plan on attending the Monday night 6 pm meeting. Click here to read.
