Commander, Perhaps you would know who I would contact re the following: The yellow light at Grand & Del Webb could be a little longer. On Monday I was approaching that intersection. After I started across the light turned yellow. By the time I was half way thru it was already red. I was concerned that the traffic on Grand would start too soon. Peggy
The traffic lights in most of Sun City are the responsibility of Maricopa County Dept of Transportation (MCDOT). However. since Grand Ave is a state highway, you should probably contact Arizona Dept of Trans at www.azdot.gov. They would be the entity that controls the lights on Grand Ave. You can contact by phone or email and explain your concern.
Thank you, Commander. I will contact both of them. I enjoyed the meeting on Monday. The speaker was interesting but I could not sleep that night because I kept hearing noises. Is there anyone who will go to a person's house and check for problems re unuthorized people (ie. burglers) getting into the house?
I emailed both MCDOT and AZDOT. Within an hour MCDOT called me. We had a nice long chat. Now I will wait and see what AZDOT has to say.
