I turned on my AC for the first time this year. At 8 pm it was 80. Not to my liking. I hoped to wait until next week when I am having AC serviced. The cool air is feeling very good!!! When did you turn on AC this year?
We turned on our A/C on Wednesday set to a constant 80 which is a compromised setting to avoid thermostat wars in our house. It was a great money saving winter as we never turned on the heat. We did run it a couple times just to make sure it worked and the same for the A/C. The car was in the shop Friday to get the A/C in shape for the summer. I think that is the worst part of summer....getting in the hot car after it's been sitting in an uncovered parking lot for a few hours. Next car will have the electric start to get the A/C running before we have to hit the road. We also put a couple gallons of drinking water in the trunk in case of emergency.
I keep a cooler in trunk of car for frozen groceries and bottles of water. I also have a small suitcase with emergency items like clothes, etc. My car can be started from a distance and is cool when I get in. That is if I remember to have the ac turned on!
We've been going to the Sun City Midas shop on Santa Fe just west of 99th for 20 years. Sanderson Ford off Grand in Glendale has also been reliable for the past 10 years.
