The More Things Change.......

    Do we really learn from history? Post from two years ago:

    Apparently there were two separate incidents; one at the Lakeview Rec Center, the other at one of the golf courses. Not sure what took place at the golf course, the rumors are flying around the community. No idea if the RCSC management addressed the incident or if the board even dealt it. These kinds of matters perfectly depict what is wrong with Sun City these days. They think we have no right to know anything that goes on in the community. Apparently they think it's their community, not ours. How the hell did we get some far removed from the tenets we were built under and around?

    2024:
    The death of your Life Partner when you live in Sun City. (Must have been the first death)
    · Partner dies very late December
    · You go to rec center with death cert late January early February for guidance
    · You are told to get a lawyer (LP not on deed, only for rec center fee refund)
    · Ask friend for help in March
    o Friend calls rec center and speaks to manager
    o Manager emails form to fill out
    o Friend fills out form and gets home owner to sign and returns form and another death cert to office manager
    § Later in March friend follows up with rec center. Check will be in mail Friday
    § Homeowner gets a call from rec center saying they can’t give him the refund
    § Homeowner gets a call from rec center the next day saying check will be in mail Friday
    § Homeowner stops by rec center Monday. They make him fill out the same form again. Check will be in the mail Friday April 5th​
    This is an 82 year old man grieving the loss of his partner of 47 years who has to use a walker. I have all back up info.

    Trying to report/ask compliance issues:
    · Emailed HOA on 3/28 to ask about temporary structures, and report 2 violations. One operating repair shop from home and the other re children living here.
    · Response (same day)….this is good. “Hello, I am forwarding this over to the Compliance Manager. She will be in touch with you hopefully tomorrow as she is having computer issues today.” So she sends my email via email to a person who is having computer problems. I guess writing an actual message with my phone number was just too laborious.
    · It is now 4/5 and no answer. Sorry, don’t care any more.
