It was refreshing to see someone from the dog club speak out at the member/board exchange. Apparently they finally came to understand, what the board offered them regarding the indoor arena was all just smoke and mirrors. Being put on the long range PIF budget means nothing; NOTHING. They did it to placate them. John Fast had an interesting idea; rent/lease a building and see if it works. I heard the general managers response was “we don’t rent buildings. My answer; read your freaking Articles of Incorporation and see what it says. Of course, that’s the one document they pay the least attention to. Interesting to note the softball players absence. I guess they are hoping the RCSC comes through with their new building and lighting. It’s long overdue, should have been done 4 ears ago. My fear for them is once the election is over and Viewpoint lake costs increase, will there be money for them? We’ll see. The POSSE debacle continues and the RCSC is taking absolutely no ownership of where we are. I asked Bill Cook directly why he met with the MCSO and didn’t invite the POSSE Commander, He said flatly he didn’t want the MCSM mediating the relationship. My question; why the hell not. For nearly 50 years the POSSE and the MCSO worked closely together and they still do. God forbid we should end the animosity with a little common sense. Finally, i need to say this; it was embarrassing to watch a member of the Ad Hoc Bylaws Committee ring the bell on an RCSC member who had legitimate questions regarding the bylaws. I guess Dave Weiland is the only one who should have a say in what came out of the summer long exercise. The fact of the matter is, at the board meeting (whether it is the first reading or the second) members will only be allowed 3 minutes to speak at a time. This was our one (unless there is a second reading as there should be), to question how we got so far removed from the memberships motions. Finally, finally, they are now making the argument that all those who aren’t in the room are the ones they are fighting for. Really? You know how members feel by their lack of presence. OMG, how freaking arrogant can you be?
I still think they should give that empty space with the dirt floor in the Vintage Vehicle building temporarily to the Dog Club. The Quilters already have their dedicated space so let them stay where they are until the RCSC can figure out something for the Dog Club! Yeah, but he doesn't always know what he's talking about. All he really knows how to do is tell everybody how smart he is and everything you think about anything is wrong!
Interesting, some friends of my wife attended the Rock and Roll dance Saturday night and they told her they gave Darla the microphone to tell everyone to vote for her.
