Being the president of the United States is a pretty big deal, in anyone's book. One would expect those seeking the highest office in the land would be more than your vintage con artist seeking their next rube. That may sound harsh, but my dislike for the donald has nothing to do with his policies. He has none; what he has are people who have agenda's and he surrounds himself with some of the worst.

To be clear, trump was a democrat long before he was a republican/maga. He donated to both parties, not unusual for a savvy business man looking for access. It's been written a million times, trump is transactional with every step he takes, he asks, what's in it for me?

I grew to resent trump from his days as a business man, who treated working men and women like crap. The Polish construction workers he dragged over and cheated, the casino employees he beat when filing bankruptcy or the hundreds of mom and pop companies he screwed by underpaying them and telling them to sue. He was an equal employer con man who had no bottom.

But wait, it gets way worse. Trump steaks, trump airlines, trump football league; all failures. Then he got more aggressive and started cheating people at trump university. As long as he was on a roll, how about the trump foundation? I won't bore you with the settlements, but they are a matter of public record.

Besides all of those were before he became president. That just made him an average run of the mill grifter. Let's be really blunt here and look at what happened once he realized the supporters would buy anything he offered. Literally, anything.

Hats, flags, shirts...all pretty much standard fare in the world of politics. Then it all got weird, really weird. Think not? Golden Bibles? Golden sneakers? And just when you thought the rubes were over it, truth social appears. Once again, supporters bought stock in a worthless piece of vanity fluff. They'll soon find out when trump pulls his 2 billion dollars out of stock earnings from it and the suckers will be left with nothing.

However, as promised, just this morning i found this amazing clip online that shocked even me: "Those of you who aren’t avid followers of all of Trump’s enterprises may not be aware that he’s selling a new series of digital trading cards. To sweeten the offer, if you buy enough of them, Trump offers an additional reward: Snippets from the suit he wore during his debate with Joe Biden. What an incentive! You can own a relic of the holy garment that adorned his body on that majestic occasion." A nod to William Kristol for this cut.

To cap it off and give you an idea of the level of the "bargain," here is the header from The Guardian:

Suit yourself: Trump offers scraps of his indictment outfit for $4,699.53 a pop.

There was a time in the country when true conservatives believed "Character Matters." Obviously that mantra has changed to believe they must endorse a character...and trump is that in spades.

Me on the other hand, i'll take Joy Baby, Joy over weird every time.

In the immortal words of Patrick Swazey in Road House David: "Be Nice."

Nice brings the Joy, let them bring the ugly (and man are they imploding or what?).
