    Hey everyone!!

Hope all is well. We just wanted to take sometime out to say thank you to all of our members in Sun City who make this site fantastic.. Most of our members are from the Sun City Arizona area after only 1 year with the site open...

We want to do something nice for you good folks but also need some help to build the site up in Sun City Original, West, etc which we all know all members here want the same so…..

the question is...how do we do it?

    In the past...
We have done referral programs for $5 a friend that you recommend…
We have done summer promotions and paid $1 per post

which both were successful in bring a small amount of users here...

But were really looking to get your take on how we get all the Sun City Residents on this site and enjoying it!! Were all ears and open to doing promotions again/ advertising (name the best company), etc…
We don't mind paying members and rewarding you who get a lot of Sun City Residents to sign up on the site and post and stay engaged (your friends)…

Are there clubs that need to make this site their communication center? WE can make their own sections for that (like the posse, etc).

More suggestions the better.. Were all ears… THERE ARE NO WRONG SUGGESTIONS!!!

    Thanks again!! Post away!! Admin

Have you considered contacting the clubs in SC Original and asking if they would like to be mentioned on TOSC? I will try talking to a few of them.

Below is a link to all the clubs.

In the meantime, I will post the Handi-capables.

Great question and one that unfortunately is almost beyond answering. Having been an active participant for the past dozen years on these type's of boards, finding and keeping posters has always been a challenge. I know far more people read them than post on them. There's almost a stigma to getting folks to log in and share their thoughts, opinions and ideas.

That said, there was a point in time when we ran a web site with a question and answer box that was the most successful effort I have come across. It was directed at working men and women who needed information. We called it ask the rep and we essentially became a help line for those looking for direction. I have long felt we could do the same here in Sun City by allowing potential buyers and those thinking about retirement to log in and ask about the community.

I know, they can already do that, but the problem with message boards is it all gets lost in the various threads. Rather than trying to buy members, I would be more aggressive in becoming a valued resource for that niche active retirement buyer. I'm not suggesting you ditch the forums but rather supplement them with a window with questions and answers visible. The challenge is you need someone to answer the questions or access to give answers by participants.

Probably not the answer you were hoping for, but the reality is if you are not a tad different, you are just one of the other 1000's of boards out there hoping to find posters.

I think, if you haven't already, you could reach out to each one of the Sun Cities personally (by e-mail or phone) and let them know about the website.

I am kind of surprised that this website isn't more popular because it would have been so helpful when I was researching active retirement communities. I would post here without financial incentive.

Thanks Peg, BPearson and Emily!! KEEP YOUR THOUGHTS COMING and please other feel free to chime in… we love what your saying and taking everything into consideration…. there are no wrong suggestions..

Is there any HUGE groups in sun city, clubs that would use this site and get all their members to chat on here, etc?

What is the NUMBER 1 form of advertising used in Sun City Arizona that you see a lot?

I just joined here, and found you only by accident when I finally toured the Bell Visitor's Center last week. All the time I was researching homes, and checking websites RCSC; Sun City's website, etc. I don't recall seeing you anywhere. Since I found you via the visitor's center and picked up your nice card, what comes to mind is that same card as a door hanger in the communities? Seems like that would get the word out unless there is an issue with the advertisement/solicitation thing. Also, for those of us who are established already in clubs, local businesses, perhaps the clings and cards could be handed out as we move about the community? I'm so lost most of the time right now, I believe a central point of reference was/is so invaluable! Good luck!

Welcome to the site CSB and thanks for the suggestions… We would be open to printing the door hangers… We would mail them to anyone who would want to hit houses as you get to them on walks, exercise, etc. We would need anyone willing to do original, West, grand, etc… thanks for the suggestion again…

So glad you found us through the visitors center..

let us know if anyone is interested by emailing us at TalkOfSunCity@gmail.com

    Thanks, Admin

I have TOSC cards and will take some to the Sundial Pool
and ask if they can be left on the counter.
Maybe someone could take some to the other Rec Centers.

I meant to get back to this thread but forgot.

No offense meant, but I think the idea of putting flyers on/near the mailboxes of homes and condos in Sun City is not a good one. These flyers can blow all over the place and make quite a mess. I really hate it when I come to get my mail and a construction company has left flyers and they have blown everywhere.

Having said that, I would be glad to take flyers to drop off at the various businesses in Sun City (and wherever I travel in the West Valley) on the weekends. There are several Starbucks and Fry's offers free wi-fi access. Just DM me if you still need someone to do this. :)
