Has anyone used the Safeway.com supermarket delivery? Are there other ways to get food delivered in Sun City if one can't drive? Thanks
I understand it is rather pricey. It would probably cost less to give a neighbor a shopping list and pay for their gas. In the past a neighbor gave me her shopping list and I just made her purchase when I made mine. Separate tabs, of course. In Sun City we are very neighborly. Who knows when we might need a favor. I think there is information about Meals on Wheels under the food section. Also the Banner Senior Center in Sun City delivers meals at a lower cost.
Benevilla is a wonderful organization that offers all sorts of assistance especially to help seniors maintain independence. One of their services is providing transportation and shopping services. I have utilized their services and also volunteer with them. Here is a link to their home services section, but prowl around their site and be amazed at the bounty of services they provide http://www.benevilla.org/homeservices.html
