Today when I went to my class at Sundial, I was told that no showers were available in the ladies dressing room. Showers had to be taken at the outside shower near the hot tubs. I do hope this will not take too long.
Per the email blast, sent earlier today: Sundial Center Womens Showers to Close Thursday, April 23 The womens shower area at Sundial Center will not be available beginning Thursday, April 23 in order for maintenance and repairs to be completed. It is estimated that this work will take several weeks.
I see a new motion has been added to this month's agenda for the Board of Directors meeting on May 28th which bring them to 5. The repairs to the showers in Sundial will now have a price tag at a $175,000 level. Sometimes you find surprises when repairs begin and they aren't all good.
Nice catch aggie. What's troubling is the cost is huge; especially given it was just remodeled in the early 2000's. I get it when they can say it's a 40 or 50 year old building and when we open it we find surprises. What id don't get is when this was just redone, why are we paying through the nose yet again?
It's my understanding that when the roof caved in at Sun Dial, the roof was repaired but the showers were not updated.
