We're planning our first visit to Sun City in mid-March. We'd like to find a Realtor who not only works in a Sun City brokerage office but perhaps lives there as well. We think a "local" Realtor may know more about the comings and goings of the neighborhoods. Recommendations?
I've been working with Mike Mazy of Award Realty for about 6 months. He not only lives in Sun City for 12 years, he knows the history of how the buildings were made. Knows so much about the area. And he is past president of a Realtor organization (sorry forget the name). I haven't found my place just yet, but I've visited twice and looked with him. I'm confident he can help me despite the fact that I'm trying to buy while living out of state. I had tried two others before him but they didn't work out for me. It was a relief to find him.
Hey Rusco; I don't as a matter of practice endorse or promote any one Realtor online. If you want to contact me when you come in I will pass on some names of folks who are very good and know the market as well or better than most. The smartest thing you can do in preparation is to know what you want in a home. IE: Number of bedrooms, baths, square footage, galley kitchen or eat-in, formal dining room, remodeled or something you want to redo on your own. And of course, price range. One other thing, single family or attached. Good realtors can quickly find home models that fit your bill and you won't waste time looking at a property you would never buy.
