    Lakeview Woodworking Club

Our club offers all of the amenities that one would expect in a woodworking shop and more. The two most popular crafts at the present time are scrolling and wood turning; perhaps the reason over 10% of our members are women. The expertise level of our members varies from the master craftsman with years of experience to novices who are looking for a new venture. It is a perfect place to develop new friendships while pursuing your hobby. If you need help or advice our members are always willing to help if they can. Come and see our show cases full of member made items that are for sale. Our 9 am monthly membership meeting is held at the club on the first Tuesday of the month from October through April.

    Sun City Carvers
Sun City Carvers is a club for woodcarvers and gourd decorators, and has 60 members, both men and women. Our carvers range from beginners to experts. Some of our carvers have won blue ribbons in woodcarving shows throughout the valley, as well as throughout the country. If you have never carved before, our friendly members will be glad to get you started. Throughout the year we have classes such as beginning carving, bird and animal carving, caricature carving, relief carving, chip carving, wood-burning, and tool sharpening. Basic tools are available for new carvers. Gourd art training is also available. The club participates in the annual RCSC Arts and Crafts show and sales, and also holds a private show and sale in mid December.
