    Garden Club

Do you have a love for vegetable gardening or are you perhaps curious about gardening techniques unique to our desert environment? If so, it’s time to get your hands dirty and come visit our Club. Our members take pleasure in backyard gardening with in-ground planting beds, raised beds and containers.
Our goal is to help members understand successful gardening techniques throughout the year in our local Arizona environment. We offer gardening tips, recommendations on planting schedules, advice on fertilizer, soil enhancement, pollination and a variety of related topics. Our programs include round-table discussions, home tours, expert speakers and tours of local gardens and nurseries.
Our members are active volunteers in a number of outreach efforts within the community. Our Club conducts the Annual Sun City Citrus Drive to benefit St Mary’s Food Bank Alliance; an aluminum can drive to benefit the Ronald McDonald House of Greater Phoenix; and, we are active in the Farmers Market and Gardens sponsored by the Community For All Ages in Surprise, AZ.
