My bad ! I know sometimes visitors to this site may get the wrong impression of the cost of buying a Sun City home. I tend to post the expensive and more unique models to show potential buyers their options, rather than the average homes for sale in the community. Here's the reality: The average Sun City single family home is 1400-1500 square feet with a selling price that averages somewhere in the neighborhood of $140,000 to $175,000 (though some are well under that). The average condo/twin home/quad/garden court apartment will typically range anywhere from 900 square feet to 1800 square (with an average of 1200-1300). Those prices will run from a low of $50,000 to a high of $200,000. Again, averages are tough, but let's estimate a ballpark of $100,000 dependent on what has been done to it. I have no idea if this will work, but the Independent Newspaper (our free weekly) lists the weeks home sales. I took a couple of snapshots of this weeks prices to give you an idea of just how affordable Sun City is (virtually a home for almost any budget). You know what to do; click on the picture to enlarge (I think if you click it twice it may blow it up even bigger). If this doesn't work, i'll type them in, but i need go pack a lunch because it will take me hours. Hopefully this will give you a more clear picture of what typically sells in Sun City.
