Sun City Area Roadway Improvement Project
    Roadwork Ahead!
    01/13/14 - 02/06/14
Sun City, AZ – Over the next three weeks, the Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) contractor will be on site performing roadway maintenance and construction activities at the following intersection locations:

    105th Avenue & Thunderbird Boulevard
107th Avenue & Union Hills Drive
Del Webb Boulevard & El Capitan Circle
Del Webb Boulevard & Sunland Drive
Work will include the installation of new concrete valley gutters at the intersections of Del Webb Boulevard with El Capitan Circle and Sunland Drive and the installation of a catch basin on 107th Avenue at Union Hills Drive to facilitate roadway drainage at these locations. Additional improvements include the construction of a new ADA-compliant sidewalk ramp at the intersection of 105th Avenue and Thunderbird Boulevard.

Project completion is slated for February 2, 2014.

    Traffic Restrictions
Lane restrictions or temporary road closures are anticipated. Please obey traffic signs and flagmen when driving through the construction areas. On-street parking is not permitted and motorists will be unable to drive over the new curb or valley gutter until the concrete has cured. Please allow yourself extra time to get to where you are going as there may be traffic delays. During construction, access will be maintained at all times for residents, businesses and emergency vehicles.

    Construction Work Hours
Work hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Weekend work may
    be required.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation during these improvements.

    Safety Matters
For your safety, please do not go into the construction work area until the project is completed for your safety. In addition, please obey temporary roadway signs and do not move barricades or traffic signs as they are in place for your protection.
