St Patrick’s Day is arguably one of the top 4 or 5 events on the American calendar and Sun City is no exception. So for several years running the Duffeeland Dog Park Club held a St. Pat’s Day celebration. One year they even had the Club House Band play Irish music for the event and the band decided to augment it’s regular lineup with an accordion player. But where does one find such a person in Sun City? Why the Sun City Accordion Club, of course. So the band scouted a club event, picked Jay as a likely candidate, practiced a little, played a gig with him at the band’s regular Happy Hour gig in Phoenix and then played the Park Club bash. No pictures of that event have surfaced, yet, but here are some of what preceded St. Pat’s proper.
