    21 stuffing.jpg Today, November 21, 2013 is National Stuffing Day.

    Stuffing is an edible substance or mixture, often a starch, used to fill a cavity in another food item.
    The earliest documentary evidence for stuffing is the Roman cookbook, Apicius '"De Re Coquinaria", which contains recipes for stuffed chicken, hare, pig, and dormouse.

    I’m not sure I would like stuffed dormouse.
