I won't belabor this, just curious who is going to the show tomorrow nite at the Sun Dial auditorium? It's the simply stupendous Dancing With The Sun City Stars. Truly a blast to see the residents join with the youngsters who work them all week long to get them game ready. And, do not leave at intermission because the show stopper is when the "professionals" perform while the ballots are being tabulated. The show starts at 7 pm and the crowds start jockeying for the best seats around 6 pm. Here's a link to the program. By the way, rumor has it one of the judges is a regular poster on Talk Of Sun City...go figure.
For those who missed it, this Sun City Dancing With the Stars show might have been the best of the past 6 years. The Utah Ballroom Dance Company has upped its game and using residents from dance clubs with some knowledge of where their feet were supposed to go made for a great night of fun. Amazing to see the massive crowd pile in, with people lining up for the better seats as early as 4:30 pm (really?). We were there early for the dress rehearsal and seeing the set-up of tables and chairs for 1500 was painful to watch. Labor intensive and one wonders how long it will take for Sun City to get their act together and have a venue with permanent seating for shows like this (and the dozens and dozens of others) where we aren't pounding people with set-up and take-down. Too bad so much of the PIF budget was shoveled at golf the past ten years eh?
