I am getting ready to listen to SCAZ's Dop-Wop, Elvis, & Girl Groups show. I find this to be a very positive step forward in their programing.

I listened to the Dop-Wop, Elvis, & Girl Groups show on both Saturday and Sunday and of course have a critique, but before I launch into that I'd like to remind us all what 5 definitions of "carp" have to say.

1 to find fault or complain querulously
2 to keep complaining about somebody/something in an annoying way
3 to complain all the time about matters that are not important:
4 to find fault or complain querulously or unreasonably; be niggling in criticizing; cavil:
5 to complain and gripe repeatedly, especially about little things.

I asked you once why you chose carptrash. Makes perfect sense now! Fits you to a "T".

I would have done a show called, "Dop-Wop, Elvis, & Girl Groups" differently.

I would want to do one on Bruce Springsteen. Liked him ever since Greetings from Ashbury Park was released. Loved him when the writer from Rolling Stone interviewed in a bar and afterwards wrote, “I have seen the future of rock n roll and he is throwing up on the hood of my car.”

Everyone has a favorite Boss album and mine is Born in the USA. Every song talks to me about my early life especially Dancing in the Dark.

I'm definitely a "Born to Run" kind of a guy, but was pretty set in my musical world by the time that came along so didn't really follow him that closely. However he has enough material, covering quite a vast range of musical ground, that an hour or two of him a week could go on for a long time before songs needed to be repeated. Especially if you count live and studio versions of a song as being two songs. Which I find to be acceptable. So, "Contact" the folks at SCAZRadio and make them an offer that can't refuse. So far they have not responded to my 3 emails but that could be for a couple of different reasons.

SCAZRadio, if you are out there, Tommy James & The Shondells ,who have been played 5 times in the four Dop-Wop, Elvis, & Girl Groups shows so far do not belong in any of those three groups. Now if you had a Garage Band show . . . . .

You (yes, you) might want to check out SCAZRadio's 4th of July show which will be broadcast at 6 am, 9 am, noon, 3 pm and 6 pm. I am looking forward to seeing, actually, hearing, what they do.

I just finished listening to the 4th of July show, which was enjoyable but I wish that the station had done what they do with all their other music, which is to post the title of the song and the performer because there were some pieces that I did not know and ..... I wanted to know. Also the show could easily have been two or even three hours long. Anyway, well done SCAZ and I look forward to other specials.

This show (Doo-Wop, Elvis, & Girl Groups) is a cautionary tale about the perils of Artificial Intelligence.
