I never scroll to the bottom of the page on this site, never...that is until today. I've always been of the mind this site barely creeps along. This morning, to my shock and awe (member that line?), I came across the stats on the bottom of the page. Here's the one that grabbed me by the whatchamacallits: Most users ever online was 3,884, 05-15-2015 at 08:50 AM. Who would have thunk it?
Rather than starting a new thread, I thought i'd resurrect this one and touch base about the increased traffic to the site. I've always been intrigued by web site traffic; on sites we've built and run; one of my favorite aspects has always been the diagnostics. The data collection (not personal information) is available but the numbers of users and where and how they got there is fascinating. And the times of day and the days being the most heavily accessed is always very curious. Unfortunately that information on this site is for the administrators (as it should be), so the next best thing is at the bottom of the home page. The numbers of visitors (guests and registered users) appears as does the pages they visit. While it's minimal data, I have noted site users online has been growing and there's almost always 20 people at least clicking on or through. I know site owners would love to see higher numbers, but web site growth is almost always slow. Once some of you newbies get here maybe we can figure out ways to grow the site.
