Today, August 21, 2013, is National Eat a Peach Day. Did you know that peaches and nectarines are the same species, even though they are regarded commercially as different fruits. Do you like peaches?
Fresh Palisade peaches are awesome. Along with Olathe Sweet Corn are the two great things grown here in CO.
And we have been overdosing on both for as long as they are available.....no other state does peaches and corn as well as Colorado.....and that includes GA, the Peach State......when I lived there I thought their peaches were the best.....now I know better
I have a nectarine tree and they don't have the fuzz like peaches do. They taste a bit different too.
I recently purchased some[] white peaches from Sprouts -- they were so good and so sweet ! Almost a melt in your mouth ! That type of peach is seasonal for sure....when I find them --I buy them.
