Sun City, Arizona is a little bit of heaven.

New arrivals with new ideas will only make it better - If possible!

 

We have met many new arrivals at the Farmer's market lately. Their excitement is enjoyable when they start talking about the recreation centers and the different clubs. When we first arrived in AZ we moved to Vistancia in n. Peoria. The community is lovely, well planned and there is a gorgeous 55 (Trilogy) across the road and we had even considered just moving there when our son left home. Due to the economy tanking we had to rethink our retirement spot. After doing a few remodels here we started to enjoy the city very much and noticed our blood pressure dropping while visiting S.C. There was so much potential in redoing these little homes we got very excited about it and bought one. We love our home and love our neighbors. In Vistancia few neighbors would say hello to us or hardly wave when out in the yard. We found our spot here and the low taxes and low HOA fees are a gift. The 3,000 fee is also worth every dime. You would pay that every year in other developments.

 

I would think the heat is a big separator to those who would live in SC or AZ as well. The summers are hot in AZ.

 

Yes they are hot in Arizona for sure.. dry heat. Is the Farmers Market every Thursday year round?

 

O.K. So SC summers are a bit warm but at least we don't have to shovel sunshine
or pick up the remnants of our house after a tornado, hurricane, earthquake, etc.

 

Amen to what everyone said.. Sun City Original is a little slice of heaven (don't know much about West or Grand, etc but heard they are nice too)... Please do let us all know when the farmers markets start up again...

 

This is our 5th spot in Arizona ever-seeking the perfect retirement community. My only regret is it took 4 years and thousands of wasted dollars before finding SC AZ!!
