Hi all. I'm considering purchasing in Sun City and have these questions:

    1. I went to the SC website looking for information about recurring live music events but wanted to confirm that live music is offered twice a week year round, is that right? I lived in the Villages, FL a while ago and we had live music every night at three different venues. I miss that and would be anxious to partake again in SC.

    2. In looking online at homes for sale, I sometimes see a tree that might be better off (at least in my judgment) being removed. Does SC have a rule against removing trees? Would a tree that was cut down have to be replaced with another? As for irrigation, I'm guessing there's not enough rain to sustain them, so do people opt for sprinkler systems?

Thanks for any input on either question or both.

The Recreation Center of Sun City in Arizona offers live music, but not twice a week. Usually once a week. Some are free, you pay for other concerts. There are some local restaurants/bars/clubs that offer live music most weeks.

You shouldn't have any problem removing trees. Many people do and don't replace them.

    Good luck!

Wow! I got on The Villages website. Awesome venues and entertainment choices. Here is a link to the 2024 schedule of events. Concerts & Entertainment - Sun City, Arizona - The Original Fun City! (suncityaz.org)

Sun City does not have fine dining with dancing, however Scottsdale has some great entertainment and restaurants, as does Phoenix. Sun city has more cafe style places to eat.

I removed all vegetation from my yard with no issues. Some of the trees and cacti were here from the late 70's so as they started to show their age I removed and did not replace. Just have desert landscape now.
