Yesterday afternoon I drove thru the Hovnian (sp?) new homes. Many, many are now under construction. I stopped and talked to a lady who was walking her dog. She said that about 8 of the homes are occupied.

She asked why she had to pay a Home Owners Association fee and I did not have an answer. However, I do believe that everyone in Sun City belongs to a HOA. *I told her she had to pay the Sun City Rec Fee in order to use the facilities.I just got my annual bill and it was $474 which comes to about $3.95 a month. Not bad considering all it covers.*

I've been told the Khov homes will have their own HOA that covers the costs associated with their neighborhood. They are covered by the Sun City Home Owners Association (SCHOA) CC&R's; as is everyone living in Sun City. I drive through the development periodically and it's great to see the homes going up.

I think you meant $39.50 a month peg.

I stand corrected. I didn't see the decimal point!

It was amazing how fast the village of homes is growing! The HOA fee that these homeowners pay will cover costs for the common green areas, sidewalks and all street maintenance. These streets within the development are not Maricopa County roadways and must be maintained by the residents.
