This weekend, I sent an email to the Officers of the RCSC Board of Directors; I'll include it here. As you can see, I never attended the Board/Member Exchanges that were held in the past so I really have no idea what to expect. I am looking forward to this new, improved meeting that president Lehrer remarked that she has spent a lot of time preparing for. I'm truly hoping for a good exchange.

**After reading my email to them, do you have any thoughts on what you would like to see?
**Do you think we should come somewhat prepared for the first one so we don't spend precious time going around in circles and not accomplishing anything?
**Or, do you just want to wait and see what is in store for us?

Either way, please do plan on participating next Monday. Other than the ability to speak on posted motions in future "formal" Board meetings, this is our only chance to speak up. Member Comments have been removed from the "formal" meetings.

Our new-to-me format for our RCSC Board Meetings will be introduced soon. I noticed that the agenda for the March 31st meeting mentioned that it would be held in the Sundial Auditorium. I know that you have stressed a spirit of compromise, cooperation and consideration, and a free flow of ideas with a semblance of order. Since we have a bit of time before the meeting, and I would like to be prepared for it, would you be willing to share your thoughts and ideas on the following:

How will the room be set up?
    Will there be microphones?
Chairs in a circle? Square? Many circles?
A white board to write on?
    An agenda?
How will we know when it's time to stop?
If questions are asked that can't be answered, will we get an answer at the next exchange, the next formal Board meeting, in an email or some other method?
    Will Management be there?

May I share these thoughts with others?
    Thank you for your time.

If these new Member Exchange Meetings are anything like in the past we should expect ALL Board Members to be present. Management came to the previous Exchange Meetings and Marcia took minutes. I appreciate that the meetings will be held at Sundial so we have a bit more space. The 600+ people(with so few masked) crowded into Sundial for the MCSO 2 hour presentation was very uncomfortable. I don't believe the Board will be sitting at our level which does make them seem lofty but better able for us to see them. The Exchange is supposed to be taped which will inform those that cannot attend in person.

Don't expect too many answers on the spot. I hope it goes well but after attending many of these meetings over the past 15 years, they tend to derail and drag on with many speakers re-hashing the same points.

I believe they already stated that they would be sitting on the same level as the Members!

I think you are right FYI. While on the board we held our member/board exchange meetings at the Lakeview social halls. It was much more informal and everyone was face to face, eye to eye.
