Today, July 28, 2014, is National Milk Chocolate Day. "Milk chocolate" is solid chocolate made with milk in the form of milk powder, liquid milk, or condensed milk added. The German company Jordan & Timaeus in Dresden, Saxony invented milk chocolate in 1839. Before that, it had only been available as a drink.
