    Thanks to the Board for listening to the members and making a list available of topics that have been discussed since its inception. They encourage you to CLICK for a printable list of Open Discussion Items.

    They mention that you can link to a list of ALL Discussion Items. I think everyone who hasn't been able to attend every session should easily be able to see what has been discussed and what the Board feels are Closed Items. Here is Part 1 of that list.

    Golf - Non-residents purchasing golf pass displacing members - Raise non-residents rate - Change Hours for outside play - Reviewing non-resident fees for next year. Annual Pass non -residents are only ones to have access to web portal Presentation made at June 13 meeting involving this information

    Golf - Outside tournaments bumping members - Change the hours for outside play - Refer to Management - Reviewing BP17 to see what changes can be made regarding outside tournament play. All tournaments are posted on golf calendar on web portal. Motion on June 30th Board Meeting Agenda

    Golf - Walkers with dogs on course while golfers are golfing - Workers on course given authority to address the issue - All workers are encouraged to enforce if anyone is found waling on course during play.

    Pickleball - Noise concern if pickleball courts go in at Lakeview - Survey the members - RCSC will consider sound proofing ways if the pickleball courts go in at Lakeview.

    MT. View - Do not know the steps and cost of the Mt. View Project - Put the phases of the project on the website to identify milestones for when Board approval will be needed. Management Report each month gives this information.

    MT. View - How do clubs give input on Mt. View - President Lehrer has been meeting with clubs that will be at Mt. View. Affected clubs should put together a request list and send it to the Board.

    Club Donations - Donations not allowed if not matched with donation to RCSC - Add to website about contribution to SC Foundations as well as how outside donations affect our 501( c) 4 status - Not matching donations with RCSC could affect our 501 ( c)4 status. It is in our bylaws that donations can be made to the SC Foundation without a matching one to RCSC.

    Tennis - Courts at Bell are full in morning and Lakeview courts are not in good shape - Make Lakeview Courts for pickleball and tennis use, Put retractable covers over 4 courts at Bell, put smoked glass and air conditioning at Marinette pickleball - President Lehrer met with Tennis club President, walked the courts and encouraged him to submit the clubs annual club budget request for 2023 to clubs office.

    Community Age Overlay - Allowing Children/young adults to live in SC for 2 years with a 55 year old
    People need to actively work to keep this from happening so we don’t lose our Hearing on issue is June 23, 2022 at 10:00am. SCHOA meeting is June 28, 2022 at 9:00am

    "Completed" o_O At least they could list most of these as "in the works" or something just a trifle more accurate....

    Completed sounds like they are doing way better scj. If only they were. This is the classic example of what Sun City has become. Doesn't matter what members say, just get the old rubber stamp out that says "COMPLETED," and it all just goes away. Like i said, if only it were that easy.

    I think this upcoming Member/Board Exchange on the Monday, Sept.12th is going to get very interesting.

    Along with items that require some sort of action, I also believe there will be many questions that will not require any action at all, per se, but a simple YES or NO answer, which most often is very hard to get! That's when they start talking in circles and you never receive any definitive response!

    I'm hoping for a big turnout on Monday with lots of questions, but we need to keep them to the point because they'll probably cut us short if we exceed their 2 hour time limit!
