Let us look at some of the things we can look forward too around our little community called Sun City.
Luke Days will be happening again this year, and is always a highlight for many to visit and participate. It sure would be nice if someone could see about arranging for a group trip for the residents of Sun City to visit the base during this year’s event. Time is short though, Luke Days are March 21-22 of this year. Everyone would need to understand this would be a private bus ride and would have a considerable fee to make this happen at this point. But, if this is something anyone of you is interested in, you could get it done relatively quickly and soon.
Also this year is the 250th celebration of the 4th of July. Wouldn’t it be great if there were some plans being made for the community to celebrate together? Can’t have fireworks in Sun City, too densely populated, but there are drone light shows that are amazing if one could locate one to come and entertain. Too hot for an outdoor afternoon event, but a light show in the evening, perhaps at the Sunbowl? Just thinking out loud here. Perhaps an indoor event that highlights some kind of a light show performance indoors instead? July is hot here, even in the evenings to sit outside for a light show. Could prove to be not a great idea after all.
Sundial would be a great venue for the community event to support the nations semi quincentennial. Say that fast five times. lol I truly hope there are many plans to celebrate this great event this year.
Here are some suggestions for the community but also a different topic for Sun City.
    Thank you

    Carole,

Perhaps a patriotic musical tribute to our great country emanating from Lakeview Gazebo. Or a light show on the hillside. Great topic.

Is there anything like an ice cream social planned for the community? I also don’t remember when the time capsule gets opened either. Perhaps the RCSC could sponsor an ice cream social event the same way they used to. Ice cream and lite entertainment. Great fun for everyone.

Imagine, Sun City residents speaking to us from their graves.
In November of 2026, we will be opening the time capsule buried in the base of Liberty Bell. It was sealed inside to be revealed to those of living in this amazing community. There's a variety of items in the base with none more powerful than the letters to the residents reading those words come Nov of 2026.”

How about a double community event, held simultaneously, one for the north area and a location south. Make it a craft fair and food truck event going on at both locations at the same time. Whenever they have the craft fair at Sundial once a year, you can’t move it is so crowded. So instead, have a dual craft fair at two locations featuring artisans unique to each part of town. This should help alleviate some of the overcrowding and provide food from the trucks. Twice as much fun to be had by all who wish to attend. Publish a list of which crafts are available at each location. If we know ahead of time of duplicate efforts, split folks up so their wares can be offered at both locations.
Just another idea for a community event where everyone can participate.
