This one is for all the moldy, oldies in Sun City: This Wednesday evening at the SunDial auditorium. the RCSC is bringing in Heartbeat from Tucson Arizona in for a little of that old time rock and roll. These guys have been playing together for quite awhile, have a large fan following and the show promises to get people up and out of their seats.

Showtime starts at 7pm and is for Sun City rec card holders and their escorted guests. Hate to get sticky on this but the board recently changed the policies due to all the folks coming from outside Sun City. It's possible they will be checking ID's at the door, so be sure to bring your rec card with the photo on it. They are saying the key fob won't be adequate.

Here's the link to the bands website. It should be a fun night. If we have out of town visitors wanting to come by, let one of us on this site know and we can arrange to "escort you" you in. A private message will work fine.

It might be interesting to just watch the screening process for this show. With the temps near 110 and moldy, oldies lined up outside waiting to get cleared for entrance, they best have an emergency medical team on hand to scrape the fallen off the pavement. :concern:

If you missed the show last night, truly, your loss. A great time with a huge crowd and Heartbeat was absolutely wonderful. They knew what the audience wanted and didn't let anyone down with their selection of old time rock and roll.

Here's a couple of shots from SunDial Auditorium last night:

Why are they sitting at tables? And shouldn't the table be parallel to the stage...I'll bet people had neck & back pains afterwards.:eek-new:

There was a much larger crowd than they expected and they left the entire area in front of the stage open for dancing C. Good thing they did because the dance floor was filled all night long.

SunDial is an odd configuration and in the last year they've helped shows with giant screens on either wing. There's a center hall which seats about 1000 and then two wings around 250-300 in each. Seating is always an issue because to set it up comfortably restricts the number of chairs. They try and use tables so people can set their drinks and snacks on them.
