Like a number of you, I signed up for the Khonanian VIP list. Yesterday I got an email inviting me to register for the special VIP opening on Saturday the 26th or Sunday the 27th. It said to call to get my spot. We were tied up yesterday, but called and left a message early this morning about getting in next Saturday. About 3 hours later I got a call back from Shannon who said all the spots on Saturday were filled. I said we'd come on Sunday and the answer was the same...sorry, all full. Hard to believe both days are booked solid, but that's what the message was, so I guess I'm no longer a VIP'er eh? It will be very curious to see how this plays out.
Today is the day for the VIP opening of the KHov project, should be interesting to see, hear and read the feedback.
In that they wouldn't let me in as a VIP, I drove through the lot both Saturday and Sunday to see what kind of action they had. There was never more than 20 cars in the lot and often far less than that. It looked like what we used to call in the grocery business a "soft opening." Probably trying to get a feel on what folks were saying and just how much sales staff they would need come the real opening in the next week or two (I think it's scheduled for the 10th of Oct). Anyone attend it this weekend? If so, you're thoughts?
