A lollipop is a type of confectionery consisting mainly of hardened, flavored sucrose with corn syrup mounted on a stick and intended for sucking or licking.

The idea of an edible candy on a stick is very simple, and it is probable that the lollipop has been invented and reinvented numerous times.

While not a confection, there is a memorable scene in the movie the
Wizard of Oz that takes place in an imaginary place called Munchkinland, which is home to the Lollipop Guild.

A Fortune Cookie is a crisp cookie usually made from flour, sugar, vanilla, and sesame seed oil with a "fortune" wrapped inside.
They are often served as a dessert in Chinese restaurants in the United States and some other countries, but are absent in China.
