I see from the Board's Information issue sheet that we continue to pursue a theater. As you know I am one of those who question the wisdom (cost/benefit) of our community building a theater. I do not believe this action is supported by the data. Others disagree. That does not make either side bad or good, we simply disagree. If you have questions regarding the merits of this decision I encourage you to respectfully ask for the data supporting the decision. For others that disagree, I respect your views and value your service to the community.
John, respectfully, I don't believe you should waste your time or concern on the theater project. From what I heard at today's Exchange Meeting, it will be years, not only for a complete review by the contracted architectural firm and subsequent bid process, but when construction finally starts and its intended completion date! Sad to say, and only speaking for myself, I expect I will be pushing up daisies before they even break ground, wherever that may be! Apparently there are 3 locations being considered.
