Impact of Bell and Grand Overpass

We recently took the Sun City bus tour. It was mentioned that traffic on Bell becomes more congested when snowbirds are in town.

What do SC and SCW residents think of the new Bell overpass?

Will this bring even more traffic down Bell making it even more congested?

 

I look forward to the completion of the project. The nightmare will be the construction period as even now it's a congested, hazardous intersection.

 

Great question Huntley. Aggie is right, the construction phase for this project will be a nightmare for those traveling that route. I don't think there's any question once it's done, there will be more traffic on both Bell and Grand Ave. For those of us living in Sun City, the reality is we only cross them at stop lights and even then, we do so with a fair amount of caution.

The great news is most of us retired in Sun City avoid rush hours and elect to drive Bell and Grand when the craziness is over.
