A couple of folks noticed I was offline for a few days - weekends never count with me, I avoid computers on the weekends, and today is J's bday. Nobody should work on their bday, so we both took today off work. Thanks for missing me. Anyway - The sale of the home is in the buyers court. Based on the home inspection, and an A/C inspection we had done on Friday, we sent a "fixit" letter this morning. Nothing to stay out of BP, this is just business. We have until 10/2016 until we would need a place of our own in SC - we will leave Seattle in April or May 2016, and if needed we will rent our friends place for the summer. Having all of this time is either working for us or against us, too soon to tell.
Welcome back. Nice to be missed, isn't it? Sounds like your status is nearly identical to ours. We're awaiting the sellers response to our inspection-related requests also. I did get a verbal accounting from our agent today. It looks like we're going to be good to go. Oops, now look who's hijacking a thread. Sorry about that.
Back to the search - The sellers response to the "fixit" letter was to increase the price back to list and fix 1 1/2 of the 4 items on the list. Hope you have a better ending Mullet.
Too bad on the house; based on what I was hearing from around the block, the outcome was predictable. Time is on your side and, just be mindful when KHov opens things will spike across the whole community. Just one quick question: What's a weekend?
BP - Weekend: The two days that working fools beg for and, science has proved, go by at a faster rate than weekdays. Science has not proved, however, who actually speeds the clock up on "weekends".
"You gotta know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em". It will work out for you. You had some serious stuff on your list. I don't blame you for not wanting to take that on. Our stuff is minor by comparison. Thanks for the sentiment.
One of the best things about retiring in Sun City is every day is Saturday or Sunday. Interesting how we've made time stand almost still eh?
