I don't want to belabor this, after all, i'm just a guy. That said, i am also one the longest serving site members who easily has the most posts, most threads started and the most likes. All of that and a $5 bill should get me a grande cup of coffee at Starbucks. None of it impresses me, because i am after all, just a guy. However, it has been noted on TOSC by many, things have grown fairly user unfriendly. I could tell you when, but my goal isn't to insult or hurt anyone. The point of this thread is to help the administrators advance the site to a better time and place. With that out of the way, here's my "suggestions:" * Delete or move the "Purely Politics" thread to where it belongs; "Non Sun City Related Discussions." * Establish rules that comments must be on topic posted in the header' or they will be removed. * I know one of the long standing concerns has been the lack of a moderator/moderation. While it's cool to exist in a kind of "wild west shootout" environment, it is unsettling to some and we know for a fact many have left the site out of pure frustration. As an unbiased TOSC member, i would be happy to take on the role but honestly would prefer someone like eyesopen to be recognized for her fairness. There's not much to these suggestions and they could be implemented without a lot of fanfare. We know this one forum, "Sun City General Discussions" has been well used and enjoyed for years. Hopefully it will continue to be an asset to our incredible community as we evolve and prepare for the future. Bill Pearson; aka "just a guy."
If I may turn Bill's suggestions into a question. Who wants to be a miserable person that finds fault with everything and everybody? If the question is threatening to you look in the mirror and ask that question another way: Am I that miserable person? I periodically engage in this exercise just to keep it real.
John, I have spoken with them many times. I have asked that question. I have the written communication. I was stating my opinion based on that, I was not finding fault here, were you?
Bill if you look back to the start of the site there are some very interesting things that were said over the years, especially around every election cycle.
