Hello! First time to site

This is my first attempt ever at joining a forum. My husband and I are considering moving to Sun City Hilton Head. We just visited and fell in love with it. Everyone was so nice! My biggest concern is that we are relatively young, 55 and 52. Will we fit in?
Will it be hard to make friends in an area where friendships are already established? Any advice would be appreciated

 

Hey Laurie G, welcome to the site. Can't give you specifics on the Hilton Head property, but a general rule of thumb for age restricted communities is to join clubs and begin to meet people. Most folks living in them are socially committed to being warm and open to new comers, so don't sit and wait for people to come to you, go find them.

If you've ever been a cruise, it's similar in a way. The first day or two people are looking more inward but by the third day, folks are talking and getting to know one another. Put yourself out there and you will be amazed how much better it is.
