As noted in an earlier thread, there were several motions presented at the board member exchange this month. The RCSC does that so they can get feedback from members prior to the vote at the board meeting scheduled at the end of the month when they vote to pass a motion. There were two having a significant impact on the community as a whole: * The $1 per moth increase to the lot assessment is still up as a motion and will pass in spite of some grumbling (IMHO). * The second was a controversial hike from $2 to $3 on guest fees for the day. Several folks spoke out about the impact this raise had, especially for the dance clubs and musical groups (both rely heavily on outside participation). The great news is the second motion has been pulled and the fees will remain at $2. It's wonderful to see the board has listened to members about this motion and removed it from the agenda for the board meeting on Dec 17th (one week early due to the Christmas holidays).
