Creme Brulee also known as burnt cream, crema catalana, or Trinity cream is a dessert consisting of a rich custard base topped with a contrasting layer of hard caramel. I love Creme Brulee and will order it out when I find it on a menu, but I don't have the patience to make it myself. Probably a good thing it's not that easy to make, it is loaded with calories.
