WOW! I just spoke with my DIL, the jet crashed in a field near the AFB. My heart goes out to both pilots....they ejected and have some injuries. The kids live in Waddell. The jets fly all around the West Valley. Since I am new to the area, does anyone know if this happens a lot? (Once is more than enough) :dread:
I will check on this. In my 6 years in Sun City, I have not heard of this happening. About 4:00 in the afternoon, I hear the jets flying home in Sun City. I like the Sound of Freedom!
Both pilots survived which is good news. I have not heard of any crashes in our over 8 years here. Thinking about it, when we first moved into our home here one jet was flying so low and it sounded like it was coming right into our bedroom around 10:00...scared me to death. I also love the sound of freedom, but maybe not so close hahahah
