Some dogs are friendly and go up to strangers for a pat no the head, others run away. What happens when you walk past a dog, do they bark aggressively or woof in a friendly way?
Once upon a time I was bitten by a dog - my own. I was taking his bone away from him! Since then I have been wary of all dogs. I did, however, have several dogs when my kids were growing up. Too much trouble to have one in SC. What with walking & "picking up".
I always meet neighbors that I would never meet if I didn't walk my dogs. I enjoy walking them, though some days I do feel lazy too. It's a good discipline because you can't (or shouldn't) really say no to it. And it makes the dogs so happy. Picking up only takes a minute---that's the least of my dog owner concerns.
